1. News talk is #1 in 2005 power ratios. 2005: country's ratio slips 0.1, ranks #12 in converting 2005 market share to dollars, above CHR/Pop, alternative, classic hits, talk, regional Mexican, Jack/Bob, Christian AC, Oldies, CHR/Rhythmic, Urban, etc., but below news, hot AC, AAA, active and classic rock, 80's oldies, AC, sports, soft AC and news/talk. (2004 history: Country converted its rating share to dollars at a ratio of 1.27:1). On an individual station basis, some country stations had power ratios of 2.2:1, drilling deeper into the new Miller-Kaplan data.
2. Local radio revenues were up 1.3% from 2004 to 2005, but national was off .5%.
