CJJR, Vancouver = CMW Country Station Of The Year (AGAIN)

A&O is so
proud to salute our friends at JR-fm. GM Gerry Siemens, PD Gord Eno and the entire Pattison Radio Group/Vancouver team have reason to be very proud (they won for the third year in a row!). The lower mainland of British Columbia is a difficult market for country, and these folks do it very well! Sign up for their email updates at www.jrfm.com and see what I mean.

JRfm's MD Mark Patric made all of the country programmers in the room very proud during his short acceptance speech as he stood up to MC Brent Butt for mocking country and using out-dated stereotypes as he announced JR-fm's award. Way to go, Mark! Hopefully, Patric was able to hear the cheering as he suggested Butt needs to listen to Today's Country before making fun it it because he might like it.

Good for JR. Chris Coburn is possibly the most talented afternoon announcer in British Columbia. He alone could pull in the award.
