Git-Er-Done

The venerable
New York Times Sunday Book Review section takes note of and briefly reviews the new book, just out, from country comedian Dan Whitney under his personna "Larry The Cable Guy."

Sample lines from the book:

"I was born in 1963 as a C-Section baby. I was born in Section C of a Waylon Jennings concert."

"The Abu Ghraib photographs, it was hysterical. The kind of uplifting thing we here at home needed to see. Terrorists posed in a naked round bale next to a smiling soldier who's smokin' a cigarette and havin' the time of her life."

"Al Franken's radio show, I gotta tell ya, demon possession is funnier that that program."

The Times review grabs the funniest line of the piece, as reviewer Dwight Gardner adds "in his new book, Franken does not mention Larry The Cable Guy at all.."

Reach Dan Whitney through his agent, Richard De La Font.
