ACM 40TH Celebration This Saturday on CBS-TV

Tree Paine, the mistress of media relations at ACM in LA, emailed with a trivia question and some fun facts:

Q: Who holds the record for the most Academy of Country Music Top Vocal Group of the Year Award wins?
A: ALABAMA has won the Academy of Country Music’s Top Vocal Group of the Year category a record six times. Their consecutive wins from 1980 – 1985 make their six wins in this category quite impressive. They have been nominated for a total of 66 awards and have won 19 awards to date, which include five of the Academy’s highest honor, Entertainer of the Year. They have also been awarded the Academy’s Artist of the Decade in 1998 and were given the prestigious Pioneer Award in 2002.

Remind your listeners to tune-in this Saturday, December 3rd from 9:00 – 11:00 PM (ET/PT) to catch the ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC 40TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION on CBS Television.

Speaking of CBS, Mediapost reports that Neilson had good news for them today, as the net continues to dominate Thursday night ratings, even on Turkey Day..
