CMT DukesFest, Then CMA Fest This Week

A few raindrops and overcast skies didn't discourage the orange-wearing sea of The Dukes of Hazzard fans that flooded the Tennessee State Fairgrounds on Saturday for CMT DukesFest 2007. John Schneider (Bo Duke), Catherine Bach (Daisy Duke), James Best (Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane), Sonny Shroyer (Deputy Enos Strate), Rick Hurst (Deputy Cletus Hogg) and Ben Jones (Cooter Davenport), came to Nashville to meet fans and give back to the people who have made their show popular for the past 28 years. The Dukes of Hazzard aired on CBS from 1979-85. An estimated 30,000 people showed up by 2 p.m. on the festival's first day to meet actors from the classic television series, see and ride in cars painted like those used in the show — including the 1969 Dodge Charger known as the General Lee — listen to country music and just enjoy the day with their families.

Nightly Concerts: Country Music's top stars perform hit-filled, energy-packed shows four nights in a row at Nashville's LP Field, Daily Concerts: The Greased Lightning® Daytime Stages hosts dozens of performers each day - all on the scenic bank of the Cumberland River and the Fan Fair Exhibit Hall, where fans meet the stars for autographs and photos in the Nashville Convention Center.
