Phone Topic: Webkinz, Good? Or, BAD?


There's lots of ink on the topic right now:

Pet Project, Latest toy craze is over Webkinz, Is the Webkinz Craze Bad for Kids?, Call it MySpace for tots, A very young generation finds home on Internet (LAT-WP), Webkinz Craze.

To me, they are simply the Cabbage Patch dolls of 2007. Am I wrong?
