Osterhout passed away Saturday night of
esophageal cancer – tough break for an energetic and savvy radio executive who was part of Gary Edens’ group and most recently was group head of the stations owned by Augusta, GA-based Morris Communications.
He’d been diagnosed with cancer several months ago.
Scott Shannon tells me “Mike was the captain of the Q105 [WRBQ, Tampa] ship for most of the glory days.
He was an inspirational leader, and he believed that doing great radio could be fun.”
