You have to hand it to Gary and Allan Slaight for a very classy act on Friday as Astral Media transforms into a national broadcaster and formally takes over Standard Radio (purchased for $1.1 billion) to become Canada's largest radio broadcaster.On the last day of Standard ownership, all employees with a year or more service received bonus checks! If you're going to end an era of radio ownership, this is a wonderful way to do it.
