Comparing the current podcasting craze to the webcasting boom, Dallas Mavericks owner and Broadcast.com founder Mark Cuban writes in his online blog that, in the mid-1990s, "Anyone and everyone could have their own live streaming radio show, and it seemed like just about everyone did."
Then, he notes, most of these webcasts, "like virtually all original content on the 'Net, failed."
