Steve Holstein on his WIXY, Champaign, morning show played the new Garth Brooks. As it played a listener called to say she thinks the music is a rip-off of Joe Diffie's "Leroy the Redneck Reindeer."

I'm sure when Garth Brooks (or the songwriters of this song) was thinking of a way to honor Chris Ledoux, they were thinking it would be a hit if they could just use the melody of Leroy the Redneck Reindeer. Ha, what a joke!
I listened and the reason they sound similar is because its a swing song in the same key. Wow, people just won't let Garth be happy. Whats next, Garth steals the Star Spangled Banner?
