The fact that Clear Channel (and other radio companies using syndication/networks) sometimes use "actors" as callers never came as a surprise or a concern to me when it was revealed years ago.

Creating "skits" for play on the air to increase the entertainment value seems perfectly fair game to me, since it's all about creating an experience for the listener.

As long as you don't promise on the air that "every caller you hear is real."

That's why the KISS 108-Miley Cyrus flap is a different matter for me at least.

Deceiving listeners is beyond just bad PR.

It's bad business.

How "Hannah Montana: The Movie" Got Filmed In Tennessee

Reporter Cindy Watts writes that Billy Ray Cyrus did the hard work to convince Disney's Hollywood execs to use the state as the backdrop, not just movie sets:

"I'm excited, Miley is excited, the fans are excited. We're looking at this like it's a celebration of our family, of our roots, of our musical heritage and of our fans. It's just a great time to throw up our hands and celebrate life a little bit along with the fans, because without the power of the people, we neither one would be here." -- Billy Ray Cyrus

Cyrus started the long process of having the movie moved to Tennessee and was originally met with opposition. But he took the script and a camera, flew to Tennessee and photographed locations for each scene, ultimately convincing the company to change locations.

"They said, 'Wow, it does look exactly like the movie. But can Tennessee meet it financially, are they going to have the incentives they have elsewhere?' " Cyrus recalls.

Taylor & Miley Reunite At ACM Awards

Following her country-toned debut with pal Taylor Swift at this year's Grammys, Miley Cyrus will perform – solo this time – at the 44th Annual Country Music Awards on April 5.

Cyrus, 16, will deliver her hit "The Climb" from the Hannah Montana: The Movie soundtrack, PEOPLE has learned exclusively. Climbing the Billboard Hot 100 and country charts, the song will easily fit in with the sound of the evening.

Could Miley be headed for a future in country music? Only time will tell.

The teen sensation will share the stage with a star-studded line-up that includes Lady Antebellum, Reba McEntire, John Rich, Lee Ann Womack and Jamey Johnson.

The 44th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, hosted by McEntire, will air live on CBS from Las Vegas's MGM Grand on Sunday, April 5, at 8 p.m. ET and PT.

Miley Cyrus Takes Over The Teen Choice Awards

She not only hosted, but accepted her three awards with a lot of class, as the Jonas Brothers and Gossip Girl added to their trophy cases as well. I'd bet that this was the show to watch on Fox last night for most folks, not - sadly - NBC's Nashville Star.
